MEDIEVAL COUNTRY CHURCH
The pieve was already quoted in an imperial document dated 998 a.d. Since then the building was not significantly transformed and still remains a rare example of Tuscan pre-romanic building. The three apses and the tower bell represent the other suggestive elements of the outside part. The “pieve” interior is introduced to three aisles divided by pillars and there are kept a lot of works of art.
The church is also interesting for the very nice position next to one of the most wonderful “Ville Medicee” on the hills in the neighborhood of
Florence. In this church it is possible to celebrate either catholic and protestant weddings. |

CHURCH IN CHIANTI
The church, previous to the adjacent Benedictine abbey established in 1049, in the Romanic shape, but its original shape was modified in the 18th century; it shows at the crossing of the transept with the aisle the typical octagonal-based dome the sides of which lay on four big arches; the powerful bell tower dates back to 1200. Starting from 1810 the monk complex was transformed into a farm-villa and still nowadays is hosting a wine-making company. In the splendid meadows close to the Badia there is a wonderful Cedar from Lebanon that is even quoted among the monumental plants from
Tuscany. In this church it is possible to celebrate catholic and protestant weddings. |

ROMANESQUE CHURCH
The “pieve”, with its magnificent bell tower, that dates back to the end of the 11th century, with a planimetrical installation that reflects the Benedictine traditional one with three aisles, with the central one closet by a half-circular apse.
The outside façade is enriched with a five-span portico backed by monolithic columns of the same style gas the internal ones even if stockier: in the inner part a painting by Masaccio is kept this representing a remarkable enrichment of interests for the already thousand-year-old “pieve”. |

COUNTRY CHURCH NEAR PISA
Green hills are the amphitheatre of the wonderful villa built, at the beginning of 1800, on the remainders of an ancient Pre-romanic “pieve” of the 9th century of which it is possible to see some foundation remainders and some arch and pillar portions incorporated in the walling. The villa was from the very beginning of 1900 a bishop seat and still nowadays you can see there a precious consecrated chapel that was recently restored along with the whole building
complex. The chapel, with direct access from the villa main side, is decorated with paintings along the walls and the ceiling, while in the apse there is a fresco representing Jesus being
christened. In this church it is possible to celebrate Catholic and Protestant weddings. |
