The Castle is located in the quietness of the Fiesole hills, close to Florence. In 1840 the Englishman Lord John Teample Leader, while having a walk on these hills, found out the ruins of an ancient middle-age castle of which only the tower had remained totally integral and fell in live with it. With the attitude of a Renaissance patron, it made work to its restoration painters, sculptors, artisans that contributed to the renaissance of the castle, the glory of which dated back to 1100, and that still nowadays has remained as Sir John left it. 
Today this Castle is one of the most elegant yet affordable locations in Florence. Perfect for garden wedding and ceremonies.

The main part of the castle is represented by courtyard, considered the most suggestive of Chianti area; today it is used as “frame” for ceremonies, concerts and middle-age banquet. The gothic church is the real treasure of the castle, with frescoes on every wall. The farm of castle has produced wine and oil of the finest quality over the last 300 years.
